Lotto Proof provides a handheld scanner and online dashboard that retail stores use to track lottery scratch-off ticket books. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (lottoproof.com), the store owner portal, and the Lotto Proof scanning device, and what we do with it. Our customers are businesses; the service is not directed to consumers or to anyone under 18.
Information we collect
- Demo requests. When you fill out the form on our website we receive your store name, your name, email, phone number, city, and state.
- Account information. Store owners and staff with portal access provide a name, email address, and password, and we record which stores each account can see.
- Store and lottery data. The ticket book scans, shift counts, book activations, sales figures, and related entries your store records with the device or portal, plus lottery reports we retrieve on your behalf.
- Lottery retailer portal login. If you choose to give us your state lottery retailer portal username and password, we store them and use them only to retrieve your store's lottery reports and settlement data for your dashboard.
- Billing information. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep your subscription status and billing history.
- Agreement records. When you accept our Terms of Service, we record the version you accepted, the time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent, and email you a signed copy.
- Device location. The Lotto Proof scanning device periodically reports its location and the name of the Wi-Fi network it is connected to. As described in Section 8 of the Terms, we use this only to locate and recover our device, and we do not share it except as required by law or to recover the device.
- Diagnostics. The device and our servers keep technical logs (app version, errors, timestamps) so we can keep the service running and fix problems.
Our website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To run the service: compute shift counts and book status, show your dashboard, and send the alerts and summaries you receive by email.
- To respond to demo requests and support questions.
- To bill your subscription and manage trials, cancellations, and device returns.
- To recover our devices when lost, stolen, or not returned.
- To maintain, secure, and improve Lotto Proof.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your store's data with other stores or with the lottery.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to operate the service, each only for its stated purpose:
- Supabase — database and account sign-in.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending account, alert, and summary emails.
- Formspree — receiving website demo requests.
- Cloudflare — website delivery and protection.
We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and property, including recovering a device.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and store data while your subscription is active and for as long as needed afterward for billing, legal, and record-keeping purposes. You can unsubscribe from summary emails using the link in each email. To ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email [email protected]. California residents may exercise these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to store data is limited to that store's authorized accounts, Lotto Proof staff, and the Lotto Proof sales partner who set up your store, each only as needed to provide and support the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for material changes we will notify account holders by email.
